Pre-Algebra
Math 950
I took pre-algebra to learn the concepts needed to advance into higher math classes that are prerequisites for the nursing program.
Reflections:
In this class we learned about absolute value, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing, fractions, decimals and polynomials. We learned how to find values for X and Y and also how to graph our findings. We learned how to calculate interest over the life of a loan and how to figure out what the better price is when shopping. Every class we learned something new and at the end of every chapter we tested on what we learned.
When I started Pre-Algebra, I was so nervous, I had not been in a math class in 14 years. I could not remember anything from the last math class I was in, and I was not even sure what level of math that was.
Mr. Glines was by far the best math teacher I have ever had, not only did I understand everything he was talking about, but I was now teaching my daughter easier ways to do her math problems. Math was fun, I actually enjoyed learning. I am truly looking forward to 990.
